We do not take the children on field trips, instead we bring the field trips to our school! The special visitors who provide our enrichment programs vary year to year since the themes are rewritten each year to provide variety and stimulation.
Captain Carl – A marine biologist who brings a mobile tide pool with live sea animals that the children can touch and examine.
Lizard Wizard – A great hands on program with reptiles, amphibians and insects.
Santa Ana Zoo Mobile – Bring a variety of forest animals for the children to learn about.
Giddy Up Ranch Petting Farm – A petting zoo that includes goats, pigs, rabbits, even a lama!
Story Teller Florence Knecht – An animated storyteller wearing a costume with a painted backdrop and props. She involves the children in the stories and uses music and creative movement. (Pilgrim, Leprechaun, Gingerbread Day, Teddy Bear Picnic Day)
Journey to the Past, California Indian Program – Jaque wears her native dress and shares music, movement, animal skins, pottery, baskets and instruments.
Kelly’s Karacters – Presents themed (Western, Fairytales) programs involving the children in creative movement, music, and dance.
Officer Friendly – Orange County Sheriff Association presents a safety program. The children get to see and sit in a real patrol car.
Fire Fighters – Fire fighters discuss fire safety with children.
Mad Scientist – A variety of science programs for the children.
Dental Program – Video and dental presentation emphasizing the importance of brushing teeth.
Sheldon the Shark – A water safety program through CHOC.
